WIDTY: JUN 06, 2008 NOTHING MUCH AT ALL

Most of you know, as part of my job, I wrap up gifts for people.
So this guy bought the SATC Movie Book so I thought I got another SATC groupie.
And I chatted him up.
"excellent choice! did you enjoy the movie?"
"the movie? I hated it. My wife insisted on watching it. wasted 2 hours of my life!"
"ah! really? I thought it was quite good. So why are you buying the book?"
"oh. It's for my wife. She really loved the movie"
Sigh. Sooo sweet right! and who says real (reel) romance is dead...

At some places, you can even buy it and get it giftwrapped. ;)

This was lunch.
Sometimes, I'm sooo braindead, I just don't want to think what to eat.

One of my colleagues alerted me to this article in a magazine.
She actually wrote it!!
Sean Kingston no less.
YOU GO GIRL!

The day dragged on, with an endless flow of customers.
Our afternoon caffeine boost!
Cocoa Loco and I-can't-remember-what-this-is....

Mysterious post-exam SMU student.
(wearing his heart on his sleeve, Who's Bruce??!!)
contemplating a trip to China.
(but but but they're all coming over here!)

I went straight home after that.
This is the construction site from my bedroom,
They're building 5 40-storey blocks which will obstruct my Orchard Road view. ;(

I had mysterious visitors later to drag me out for dinner.
Smoking at my void deck, what will the neighbours think??!!

But I have no complaints!
It's not EVERY NIGHT cuties with beeg beeg arms come to visit.

We went to the Margaret Drive Hawker Centre to eat.
My 1st-timer friend was fascinated by the long queue for char kway teow!
That stall is still lost in the last century.
$2 for a plate, self-service and a pair of chopsticks.
apparently there's still business for lard laden carbohydrates.

We had 4 cups of teh peng.
terrible! very diluted and no teh taste at all.
and we had 4 cups. pengz.

We ordered from our favourite stall that we have an on-off relationship with.
I had to tell them I didn't really go to JB to find a wife to get married.
(HA HA! INSIDE JOKE!)
We ordered the salted vegetables soup.
Very kianchye soup for the soul!

This is the salted fish fried rice.
It's very yummy but I swear my friend added extra oil to make us all fat.

Fried fish slices with kailan!

Prawn and Tofu with Egg on Hotplate.
Heavenly food, everyone gave their seal of approval.
Note, this stall is sooo good the wait is at least 30-45mins on weekends.
Please go early.

After that, we were quite bored so we just went back to watch TV. ;)
This is called a close up.
geddit geddit??!! ;P
